My Media Matters LLC ("we", "us", "our"), operator of The Pantry Butler (the "Service"), respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This Copyright & DMCA Policy explains how we respond to claims of copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
A recipe's ingredient list and its functional steps are facts and instructions, which are not owned by anyone. A creator's original photographs and written stories, however, belong to them. The Pantry Butler records recipes as your own private personal notes, credits the original source where known, and does not copy a third party's photographs or written descriptions onto any public page unless that creator has given us permission (for example, through our creator-partner program). The photos on your recipes are the ones you add yourself.
If you believe material on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (below) that includes all of the following:
Send copyright notices to our registered DMCA Designated Agent:
Upon receiving a complete and valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material in question, and we will make a reasonable effort to notify the user who provided it.
If your material was removed or disabled and you believe this was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to our Designated Agent that includes all of the following:
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant first notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages — including costs and attorneys' fees. Please be sure of your rights before submitting a notice or counter-notice.
