This policy explains how to cancel The Pantry Butler Premium and when you're entitled to a refund. It's part of our Terms of Service.
If you're not happy with Premium, email us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full — no hard feelings. This applies to your first Premium purchase.
You can cancel anytime — there are no contracts. Go to Account → Manage subscription in the app, which opens our secure billing portal (powered by Stripe), and cancel there. You can also email hello@thepantrybutler.com and we'll help.
When you cancel, your Premium features stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your account moves to the free plan. You keep your recipes and pantry — nothing is deleted. If your recipe library is above the free plan's limit, existing recipes remain readable; you just won't be able to add new ones beyond the limit until you're on Premium again.
Premium is an annual subscription that renews automatically each year at your locked-in price, so your service isn't interrupted. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. You can see your renewal date in the billing portal.
Outside the 30-day guarantee, annual payments are generally non-refundable, and we don't provide prorated refunds for partial periods after cancellation. That said, we're reasonable — if you were charged by mistake (for example, a renewal you meant to cancel and haven't used), email us within a reasonable time and we'll work it out. Where local consumer-protection law gives you additional refund rights, those rights still apply.
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and will email you. If it can't be collected, your account moves to the free plan.
Email hello@thepantrybutler.com and a real person will help.
